Lil' P is my name and I will be a famous rapper!

The Internet has spoken: Pitbull shall perform in Alaska.
In a product-promo move, the "International Love" rapper, real name Armando Christian Perez, agreed to visit the Wat-Mart that generated the most Facebook likes.

Well I have been thinking about it and I  want to be an international rapper.  Just like Pitbull My name will be Lil’ P and I will be famous.  I will sing about the VonHolediggers and my life is a little dog with a big attitude.
It will go like this:
Lil' P is my name and I have big game,
I live in  house with my  family,
Eating kibbles and bit and playing Yahtzee.
We are super cute, and if you mess with us I will give you the boot!

My song is not done yet, maybe you can help me?   Maybe, I will go by CockerSpaniel.  So sexy!

I do have a lot of swagger and by siblings will be my posse!

Barney wants a Jersey Cow!

We have been wanting to get a pet.  The parents say our yard is not big enough so I have to hold out until we get a bigger yard.  I was thinking of a Pot Belly Pig but Vinnie says we have Freddie, he thinks he’s so funny!  I was considering a goat, but I just did not get that excited.  I am not a fan of ponies and we all hate cats.

So after searching the internet we all agreed that we want a miniature Jersey Cow!
We are going to name him Angus and he will wear a bell around his neck,
Angus will be a milking cow and we all can have little bowls of milk.
Except maybe for Danny who has lactose intolerance, I can't handle that gas.
So for now I am going to  dream of my cow Angus, I can't wait to move!
-Barney

We will call him Angus and he will wear a bell.

Georgie picks his favorite nap music, enjoy!

Who doesn't like to fall asleep with great music in the background?
I am going to play some of my favorites that  my mom listens to when the VonHolediggers  take a nap.
Enjoy!
Georgie Lee

Hallelujah- Leonard Cohen

James Blake- A Case of You

Pink- Glitter in the Air
Yaz- Only You

This is my favorite quote, the VonHolediggers are crazy enough to think they can change the dog world!
“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

I have written before about being a girl in a house of boys.  It’s hard.
Today it’s hot outside, so I shut myself in the room by myself and listened to my favorite girl-
Stevie Nicks.  Song after song…
I looked out the window at the neighbors, played with my toys, checked out my tail in the mirror.
Realized God blessed me with natural eye liner.  My face is so pretty, my fur is gorgeous and I am amazing!
Just a thought or two for the rest of you.
So girls I am going to share the lyrics to Stand Back and the music so you can have a day in your room too!

-Freeway Freida

No one looked as I walked by
Just an invitation would have been just fine
Said no to him again and again
First, he took my heart, then he ran

No one knows how I feel
What I say unless you read between my lines
One man walked away from me
First, he took my hand, take me home

                                                             Stand back, stand back
In the middle of my room
I did not hear from you
It's all right, it's all right
To be standing in a line
                                                                 Standing in a line
                                                                    I would cry

Do not turn away, my friend
Like a willow I can bend
                                                               No man calls my name
                                                                       No man came

So I walked on down away from you
                                                        Maybe your attention was more
                                                                   Than you could do
                                                                 One man did not call
He asked me for my love
                                                               And that was all

                                                              Stand back, stand back
In the middle of my room
I did not hear from you
It's all right, it's all right
To be standing in a line
                                                                Standing in a line
                                                                Standing in a line

So I walked on down the line
                                                                Away from you
                                                      Maybe your attention was more
                                                                  Than I could do
                                                              One man did not call
Well, he asked me for my love
                                                                    That was all

Happy Fourth of July

                     Happy Fourth of July

Lets celebrate the fact that the USA is 236 years old.   That’s amazing, in dogs years that would be 1,652 years old.  So with that we say CHEERS!
Below you will find an article that I have attached Dogs and Firework Phobia, after reading this material you will understand why the VonHolediggers are such a neurotic mess!  Our mom does not past one of these test.  If there is a thunderstorm or Fireworks we all sit on the sofa  and she comforts us.  I am even nice to Freddie Mercury because I understand this fear.
I never used to be scared of fireworks but I believe it’s because the redneck neighbor  shoots his gun off the deck, it’s not like we are far away, we live in a subdivision.   Last Christmas Eve he was shooting away at four in the afternoon.  I hate that noise.  I know I am suppose to be a bird dog, but all I can say is really? Am I suppose to be subjected to this nonsense.
Let me explain, the more he drinks, the louder the gun and the further his shorts go down.  When all of a sudden we realize we are being mooned.
My parents always taught us to say no to crack!
With that being said we wish you the happiest and safest holiday.  We are proud to be American Dogs!

Dogs and Fireworks Phobia
Dealing with a Fear of Fireworks in Dogs
From Amy Bender

A fear of fireworks is a fairly common phobia for dogs. They often find the loud, unpredictable noise and bright displays of light truly frightening. Even a seemingly confident dog can tremble and drool at the unfamiliar sounds. The good news is that there are a few things you can do to help your dog get through the festivities.
Desensitize Your Dog to the Sound of Fireworks
If you have some time before the 4th of July or an anticipated fireworks display in your neighborhood, you can begin getting your dog used to the sounds. This is referred to as desensitization, and it can be done in a few simple steps:
Find a video or recording of fireworks.
Play the video or recording at the lowest possible volume a few times during the day.
Pair the sound of the fireworks with things your dog likes, such as treats, meals, cuddle time, or a game of tug-of-war.
Slowly begin to raise the volume of the recording or video over the course of several days, and continue to pair the sound of fireworks with good things for your dog.
If at any point your dog begins to show signs of fear, turn the volume down to a point where he feels more comfortable.
Repeat this several times each day until your dog can hear the sounds of the fireworks at a fairly high volume without becoming fearful.
Help Ease Your Dog's Fears
If you don't have time to prepare for the fireworks, or if desensitization hasn't ended your dog's fear of fireworks completely, there are things you can do to help ease his fears. These things may help with dogs who have a mild to moderate fear of fireworks.
Don't change your behavior. Many people feel compelled to baby their dogs when the dog is showing signs of fear. We pet them more than usual, cuddle them, and talk to them in soft voices. Rather than easing a dog's fears, however, this often reinforces the dog's fearful behaviors.
Try not to react to the fireworks yourself. If you jump or tense up when you hear fireworks because you are anticipating your dog's fear, you may make his fear worse. Your body language can tell a dog that there is a reason to be afraid.
Drown out the sound of the fireworks. Try to turn up the radio or television and keep your windows closed during the fireworks. If the weather permits, a fan or air conditioner (if your dog isn't afraid of those sounds) can help, too.
Don't push your dog past his comfort zone. Allow him to hide if he feels more comfortable in his crate or under a bed. Don't pull him out or try to force him closer to the fireworks in an attempt to get him used to the sounds. This may result in an increase in fear, and a frightened dog may become aggressive if pushed past his comfort level.

Bogey shares his meltdown

We have kept our mouths shut and quietly observed our surroundings,
and this is where my story will begin.

  What the H-E double toothpicks?
We came from a nice affluent neighborhood.  Where the people are civil and the dogs all have designer collars and haircuts.  We ate out of proper dishes, slept on the sofa comfortably,  went  for car rides, and walked on our leashes like gentleman.  Those were the days that seemed so long ago.

Today we are living with slobs.  The people give us homemade haircuts, the dogs eat from old pots and pans, slobbering all the way.  There is never a spot on the sofa, car rides are a disaster,  and forget about going for a walk with the “Neanderthal mutts”.     I hate the heat, bugs and accents!

If I must admit, I don't hate it all.  I love how my brother has come out of his shell,
I like how we are loved, how there is constant chaos and
most of all being apart of the VonHolediggers.
We miss our parents but are happy we became apart of this crazy family.
