Freeway Freida on being a girl!

It's hard to be the only girl living in a house of boys...
I am expected to be loving, nurturing, sensitive, calm and patient.
However, I am the oldest.  Where is the respect?

Sometimes when I enter a room I will be greeted with an announcement from mommy saying: “From Detroit, Michigan -Freeway Freida Marie!"   With the words, sounding loud, clear, and perfect.
In my mind I am running out in an arena with my hot pink tank top and daisy dukes.  My parade Tail is up and marching around.  I am a hit with all the cheers and chanting.  Freida, Freida, Freida…
All of a sudden reality sinks in.  I am standing there with one of the boys bouncing into me, trying to steal my food or biting my tail.
I just want the world to know.  The boys might think they run the house, but in all actuality I do.

What it means to us to be American Dogs!

To all the men, women and service dogs who gave their lives to our country ,  we thank you!

What it means to us, to be American Dogs:

Freeway Freida:  I am a girl and I am in charge!
Wally: I am a very mixed breed and I am accepted and loved!
Henry: I am allowed to run and be free!
George:  It does not matter what color my fur is!
Freddie Mercury:  That I am not masculine and that it’s okay!
Vinnie:  I can bark my opinion!
Danny: I am socially awkward and with time accomplish anything!
Barney:  I am big, burly and can fit in!
Bogey:  I am an orphan and can have a new family!
Putter: Same as Bogey.  Also, can live an extraordinary life!

Again, we are appreciative and proud to be American dogs!

This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in.  ~Theodore Roosevelt

God Bless UPS!

This evening I heard that beautiful sound of the UPS truck, you know the sound I am talking about?  The hum of the tires, clanking of the truck, the squeak of the breaks and stopping in front of the house, the rolling of the door. I hear the footsteps, the ring of the door bell, we all fly to take the door down.  We are all on high alert barking in each others faces, ready to rumble.
When I hear daddy say "oh, it's Cloud-star"!
I knew just then it was for me.  WALLY!
Cloud-star is always shipped to me.  Thanks to Aunt J. Naughty!
I now have my Buddy Biscuits and Shampoo.
Maybe, I will share. It depends on my mood...

For the best shampoo, treats and company values.  Shop http://www.cloudstar.com/

Vinnie and Henry!

All for one and one for all
My brother and my friend
What fun we have
The time we share
Brothers 'til the end.

You are beautiful!

Nothing like being a dog.  You are free to run and be who you want to be.   There is no one judging you because you are not perfect.  I feel sorry for the humans, because it's hard.   People judge you for everything.  That is enough to make a dog want to puke!  If we are skinny we get treats, if we are overweight we get treats.  If we have a bad hair day, who cares? If our collar is not the in-style not a person judges.  We are dogs and we are loved.  If we walk like idiots on our leash, we are excused.  We eat like pigs and slurp our water.  We are not being told, you can't do it.  Because, we are dogs.
I see so many humans beat themselves up because they are not at the right school or did not score better on the Sat's, get the job of their dreams or the home to go with it.  Who cares, you are you, and as dogs we fail obedience school all the time.  Guess what? we are loved!

My message to humans is just be free to be you, because as your dogs we find you beautiful!

VonHoledigger Founding Fathers

Before this blog goes on any further we would like to pay respects to the Vonholedigger's founding fathers.

 Sir Thomas Thornton Von Holedigger
AKA "Tommy"
1999-2010

Our hearts are heavy today with the passing of our beautiful boy! Tommy was
one of a kind! He was loyal, sophisticated, funny, beautiful, charming,
and very regal! He was people focused not caring much about other dogs.
Except for his own siblings after he permanently marked their face
with a friendly bite, at least he thought it was friendly? He was
demanding but yet patient, He would go to the pub, the Village Idiot and
have his own stool. He was so loving to us that his unconditional love
will carry on, always! He traveled to 29 states, swam in the Gulf of
Mexico,Atlantic, Pacific, and The Great Lakes! Swimming was his favorite
because being blind he could run uninhibited on the beach. He was our
first born. We were going to name him Tommy and when we went to get him.
His name was Tommy! We were all meant to be. He has given to us more
then we could of ever given to him. He is the original Von Holedigger
and his legacy
will be carried on, forever! We miss you and love you
Tommy. We know tonight your are running with Birki and being walked by
your grandparents!

We lost a great dog today...
He was not only a son to us but a great companion!

Birki 2000-2009
There was never a food dish that he did not guard,
a heart he did not steal, a walk or car ride he would not be excited to take,
patience that was so calm
and a personality that won him over by many.

He traveled 29 states with his fellow fab four.  Swam in the Pacific, Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and the Great Lakes.  He lived a great dog  life and we will miss him so much.

We love you Birki!

The following picture is of Bopeep.  He is the VonHoledigger's cousin.  His recent passing has been very hard on his mom.  We all feel such compassion for her.  When a pet passes on the owners grieve terribly.  Their hearts ache but know one really understand because a dog is really only loyal to their family. The bond is really not there for anyone else.  However, tonight his mom's heart is aching and we want her to know we love her.

In loving memory of Beau (Bopeep) Rust born August 6 1999 died April 30 2012 of cancer. Bopeep devoted his life to loving his family and fighting crime. He idolized "Mac-gruff the crime dog" and actively patrolled his neighborhood till just a few months before his death. He was a hero, a best friend and a loving, protective dog son to his Mommy. Bopeep was laid to rest in his backyard in Lehigh Acres, Florida and a rose garden will be planted at his grave site. My life will never be the same without you my little peeper, I love you so much, love you so very much.

Correction to the posting of Freddie Mercury 05/11/12:

We were informed that Freddie Mercury is J. Naughty's dog.  That is true.  She was visiting from Florida when she was the one to let him in the house, she named him and paid for him to get fixed.  The only catch was he had to stay in Tennessee.  However, if Freddie Mercury runs away (we doubt it, he lives the life of luxury) he will show up at Harbor Oaks Place in Florida.  J.Naughty was not aware that Freddie's doggy chip has him registered to her address.
